The 2008 Phoenix Mother's Day 5k Spring Classic:

Sunday, May 11th -- Port Moody Rec Centre.

I hope you're all enjoying a productive start to Olympics year & your running fitness/form is good. It's been quite a brutal BC winter this time around -- kudos to everyone who's been donning their extra-long/warm Spandex & braving the elements regardless -- but the warmer weather is on its way... so I've been assured! This is just a reminder that the Phoenix ‘Mother’s Day Spring Classic’ -- Race #7 of the Timex BC Road Running Series -- is on the radar now; in fact, just over two weeks away. We're looking to build on the success of last year's revamped dish and the menu will remain the same for this year's: a 5k out-and-back main course, followed by a kids' 1k & tiny tots' mad dash for dessert. Come out and join us on Sunday, May 11th to kickstart your Mother’s Day celebrations at a relaxed & family-friendly event.  As per usual, each lady finisher will receive a flower and we’ve got a mammoth selection of draw prizes from our many generous sponsors to give away. Whether you’re competing in the Timex Series, looking to stretch your legs along a very scenic Port Moody course or attracted by some great post-race goodies, come and be part of the festivities!

Hope to see you out on May 11th...
